Find Your Home

Introduction

Finding the home that is right for you can be a challenge. Where do you start? How do you "get organized" so that you are getting the right information to make an informed selection? Should you be looking at buildings first and focus on location and amenities - or just Search for Condos and Lofts using The Directory?

For those that like to search on their own, we've put together a variety of tools that will allow you to gather useful information in different ways:

Map of Minneapolis

A good place to start is the Map of Minneapolis. The city is divided into Communities and Neighborhoods. Each Community is sub-divided into Neighborhoods. The MLS uses Communities as one of the primary search criteria. Being able to visualize these classifications and their borders will make it easier to conduct useful searches in the system. This is a good place to start so that you are "oriented" and "speaking the same language" as the search engines.

Condo & Loft Directory

Learn about the different developments in the Condo & Loft Directory. Most people are looking for the "right unit" in the "right development". Because the location and amenities of each building are different, it's critical to have the resources to review the details of each property. This is a sortable "table" that will allow you to identify properties by name or location.

When you see a building in the table that’s of interest to you, just click on the photo to see the details that you need to know.  Also, you can click on the link that shows you the units that are currently for sale in that building.  Again, you can click on the unit that looks right for you to see complete details and photos.  If you’d like to see the unit, click on Request Showing to schedule a showing at your convenience.

Not all properties are listed in the MLS system. With new construction, there may be units for sale that won’t show up in the MLS.  Some projects will put a sampling of units in the MLS, but the majority of units will not show up.  This is because they want you to come into the sales center.  We have access to information and inventory for all buildings, even if it’s not in the MLS.  So, if you don’t see the property or unit that you’re looking for in the Building Guide, please contact us.

If you’re interested in seeing when units become available in your favorite building, you can receive automatic e-mail updates.  To receive your e-mail updates on new listings in the building of your choice, click on “Save this search and receive e-mail notifications when new listings match” or “E-mail me when new listings match this search”.  Any questions on saved searches, just contact us.
