New Developments Coming to Minneapolis

Minneapolis is a growing city. One of the great things about living here is continually seeing the impressive expansion and rejuvenation of our retail, residential and commercial spaces. And there are so many projects to look forward to in various stages of development that will only enhance the look and livability of our great city.
From Dinkytown to Downtown East, the Mill District to the North Loop, here are a few exciting projects to watch for as Minneapolis keeps looking ahead to a prosperous future.
The Standard
Corner of 15th Ave. S.E. and 6th St. S.E. in Dinkytown
This 17-story residential building is being developed by Georgia-based developer Landmark Properties. The Standard will include 323 units of student housing, 211 indoor parking spaces, large amenity area throughout, two outdoor courtyards, and a rooftop deck with pool and hot tub.
J.I. Case Building
233 Park Ave. in Downtown East
The building that was home to The Old Spaghetti Factory for 25 years will undergo a $30 million transformation into a 63,000 sq. ft., 5-level commercial and office space. Sherman Associates is renovating the property with plans for a 7,500 sq. ft. rooftop space which will include a private sauna and spa for neighboring Canopy by Hilton hotel.

800 Washington Ave. S. in the Mill District
This 15-story, mixed-use building will include 4,918 sq. ft. of ground-floor commercial space, a restaurant space, 300 condos including affordable-housing units, and 100 underground parking spaces. The residential area will feature a large lounge and pool on the top floor with two outdoor terraces linked by a boardwalk.

310 2nd St. N. in the North Loop
Developer Crowe Companies is planning a 7-story, green-initiative project with 1,033 sq. ft. of ground-floor commercial space, 96 mixed-income apartments, and 47 indoor parking spaces. The rooftop level will feature a green-living roof, a large indoor community room with outdoor terrace, a hot tub and sauna, and a pollinator garden with bees.
