Loring Park is located in the southwest corner of downtown Minneapolis. As the name implies, Loring Park with it’s lake, pavillion, fountains and recreational activities is the centerpiece of the neighborhood. It’s a truly beautiful urban park that is reminiscent of Central Park in New York, surrounded by condos, apartments, restaurants, shops and some commercial space - and it is also on the south end of the Nicollet Mall.

Loring Park was originally named Central Park, but was changed to Loring Park, named after the first superintendant of the Minneapolis Park System. Some of the notable institutions in this area include the Walker Art Center, the Basilica of Saint Mary, the beautiful Hennepin Avenue and United Methodist Churches and the Woman’s Club. There have been a number of new developments along with some of the older condo buildings that provide a nice variety of styles and price points.
